Graceful, with fine zari work at the border — turquoise is a colour that photographs beautifully and wears easily, and moss chiffon is about as light as a saree gets. This one is built for a long day: a summer function, a mehndi, an office festive lunch where you want colour without heat.

Fabric and work: soft, fluid moss chiffon in turquoise blue, printed in the bandhani idiom — fine, gently curving diagonal bands of small dots in mustard yellow and deeper blue running across the whole field. A woven zari border in muted silver-gold edges the selvedge and the pallu with a repeating paisley and floral band. The blouse piece matches, with the same silver-gold zari at the sleeve ends.
