Pink & Orange Ombré Dola Silk Zari Buti Saree

Graceful, with fine zari work — a soft Dola silk saree shaded as an ombré: deep rani pink through red into bright orange across the length of the drape, so the colour shifts as it falls. Small woven silver-and-gold leaf butis are scattered evenly across the whole body, one selvedge carries a narrow woven gold zari paisley band, and the hem finishes in fine gold stripes with small pink tassels.

The ombré does the work here — it gives a plain-woven silk the movement that usually requires heavy embroidery, and pink-into-orange is a livelier pairing than the standard pink-and-gold. Dola silk is soft enough to pleat neatly and light enough for a long evening. It comes with a matching rani pink blouse piece carrying the same butis.
