Rose Pink Dola Silk Banarasi Meenakari Zari Saree

Sophisticated, with fine zari work — a dusty rose pink Dola silk saree woven in the Banarasi Meenakari manner: silver-white zari vines and leaf sprays running across the body, with small meenakari butis worked between them in slate grey, mustard gold and burnt orange. A woven silver zari border runs the length of the edge and the pallu carries a denser panel of the same vine work.

Meenakari is what separates this from a plain zari weave: the coloured butis are woven in rather than printed on, so the little flecks of orange and grey shift as the light moves. It's a softer, less obvious choice than red or gold for a wedding function, and the dusty pink flatters most complexions. It comes with a matching blouse piece.
