Graceful, with fine zari work at the border — a saree for the bright end of the festive calendar: a Diwali gathering, a mehndi afternoon, a daytime function where colour does the work. Fine white zig-zag chevrons run the width of this vivid magenta pink cotton silk in the leheriya idiom, broken by wider bands of small circular and floral motifs down one side and across the pallu.

Fabric and work: cotton silk in magenta pink, printed all over with fine white chevron lines. A woven gold zari border with a repeating block motif edges the drape, and the pallu ends in gold zari stripes. The blouse piece is printed to match, with a gold zari band.
