Dusty Rose Cotton Silk Batik Print Zari Border Saree

Refined, intricately printed — dusty rose is an easier pink than most: warm rather than sweet, and flattering in daylight. This is a saree for an afternoon function, a mehndi, a family lunch during the wedding week, where the dressing wants to be festive but not loud.

The ground is cotton silk in a soft dusty rose, printed all over in ivory with a batik design of rosettes, scrolling floral vines and large paisley medallions. The pallu and the lower field carry broad printed bands — alternating rows of open florals and dense vine borders — and a woven zari border in soft rose-gold runs down the selvedge and frames the pallu. The blouse piece is matching dusty rose with an ivory floral butti print and a zari band at the sleeve.
